A Ottegan was present in the New Republic Senate's Senate chamber on their capital planet Hosnian Prime^[1] in 28 ABY.^[2] When the Twi'lek Emissary Yendor petitioned the Senate for an investigation into the cartel of the Nikto crime lord Rinnrivin Di, the Ottegan questioned the accuracy of Yendor's information. He used a vocoder to translate his words into humanlike speech.^[1]
