Unidentified Nihil Cloud member

The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A humanoid individual served as a member of a Cloud for the Nihil marauders during the High Republic Era. In 228 BBY, while on the planet Temerancé in the Occlusion Zone, the member and multiple other pirates attempted to kidnap several Force-sensitive children from the Osler community after a successful kidnapping occurred in a nearby settlement. The people from the settlement requested aid from the Tholothian monster hunter Ty Yorrick, who agreed to rescue their children. As Yorrick fought the Cloud not long after, the member attempted to retreat alongside others in a starship with the children they had kidnapped, but was defeated by Yorrick after she breached the ship.

Biography

During the High Republic Era, a humanoid individual served the Nihil marauder organization as a member of a Cloud.^[1] In 228 BBY,^[2] the Cloud took part in a large kidnapping of Force-sensitive children on the planet Temerancé, which was located inside the Nihil-controlled region of space known as the Occlusion Zone, and planned to raid the Osler community next after stealing children from a settlement nearby. The Tholothian monster hunter Ty Yorrick was requested by the individuals of the settlement to rescue their children. Yorrick promptly agreed and engaged with the Cloud shortly thereafter. With the introduction of Yorrick, the Nihil were quickly bested and attempted to retreat in a starship with the small amount of children they had, with the member shouting at others to depart.^[1]

As the starship began to leave the ground, Yorrick jumped onto the starship and carved a hole into the hull with her lightsaber, which shocked the member. As the member turned back to see Yorrick, they attempted to shout for the Cloud leader, not knowing they had been killed by Yorrick prior, to alert them of the starship's breach and Yorrick's presence before firing their blaster at the Tholothian. As Yorrick blocked their blaster bolts with her lightsaber, she remarked that her aim to remain secret was derailed. As she continued to talk about how she would engage in violence more, Yorrick used the Force to send the carved out chunk of metal airborne at the member, which sent them flying back and subdued them. Yorrick successfully rescued the children from the Cloud thereafter and delivered them to the settlement.^[1]

Personality and traits

The member was quick to retreat alongside other Nihil after Yorrick engaged in fighting with the Cloud, but was fearful at fighting the monster hunter head on once she breached the starship. The member cussed once they witnessed her lightsaber inserted in the starship's plating and attempted to notify their leader about her appearance, unaware they had been eliminated earlier. They had red hair and olive skin, with their forehead marked with a blue Eye of the Nihil insignia.^[1]

Equipment

The member wore clothing along their body, which consisted of a shirt that had the Eye of the Nihil insignia painted on the backside and brown cloth wrapped around their hands and wrists. The member wore pauldrons on both shoulders, a brown holster which was equipped with two maroon cloths, and a silver mask which resembled a skull. The mask had red eyes and covered part of their painted forehead's insignia at the top. The member wielded two separate blasters, a blaster pistol and a blaster rifle. Both of their legs were cybernetic.^[1]

Behind the scenes

The Nihil Cloud member appeared in the second issue of the 2024 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – Saber for Hire. The issue was written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Rachael Stott, and published by Dark Horse Comics as part of Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase III^[1] on May 29, 2024.^[3]
