- "Welcome back to the Temple, Jedi. I see you have noticed our newest addition to the entry, a gift from the Republic for the Jedi's assistance during the disaster last year."
"Yes. It's beautiful."
"It is. It truly evokes the duality of the Force, does it not?" - ―A Devaronian Jedi and Vernestra Rwoh
A huge tapestry was created by the Jedi artist Sherche La Plenn some two hundred years before the Drengir crisis. Meant to evoke the duality of the Force, it depicted a battle between the Jedi, represented as soothing blue swirls, and the Sith, characterized as red lightning bolts. In the center of the tapestry was a human female Jedi standing atop a Zygerrian Sith lying on the ground, his hand outstretched as if asking for mercy and forgiveness. For a time, the tapestry was thought to be lost, but it ended up being retrieved by the Galactic Republic, and was eventually restored to the Jedi Order as a gift for their assistance in the Great Disaster. Subsequently, the tapestry was hung over the entrance of the Jedi Temple's hallway on Coruscant.[1]
Upon their return to the Temple[1] around 231 BBY,[2] Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus and Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh admired the tapestry, and were filled in on its history by a Devaronian Jedi.[1]
