An IG-100 MagnaGuard was a member of a raider crew during the Imperial Era. After the former Galactic Empire commander Ellian Zahra joined the raiders, the IG-100 MagnaGuard served her aboard a Raider-class corvette in her quest to capture Princess Leia Organa. Once the raiders had lured Organa into a trap and brought her escape pod aboard the corvette, Zahra ordered the droid to jump to hyperspace before the Rebel Alliance fleet arrived. The droid informed Zahra of another escape pod—that of the Jedi Luke Skywalker—and Zahra ordered them to capture the pod. However, Skywalker broke free of the escape pod and leapt aboard the corvette to rescue Organa. The starship's systems sustained damage in the ensuing skirmish, preventing it from jumping to lightspeed, and the other raiders fled, abandoning Zahra. Shortly after, rebel forces arrived, and the MagnaGuard patched through their transmission for Zahra to surrender.[1]
