A Hoopaloo lived during the High Republic Era.[1] Between 241 BBY and 231 BBY,[2] he worked alongside[1] the monster hunter[3] Ty Yorrick in a job on[1] the Outer Rim planet[4] Alzoc III. During the job, however, the Hoopaloo betrayed Yorrick and stole part of her arsenal. Afterward, the hunter decided to not track down the Hoopaloo, and instead accepted her losses.[1]

That year,[2] while on the planet Safrifa, Yorrick mentally recalled her botched job on Alzoc III, including the Hoopaloo's theft of her arsenal. The hunter considered that other mercenaries would have hunted down the "kriffing" Hoopaloo and ripped off his beak. Yorrick noted that she was not like other mercenaries, and accepted that bad things happened and one just dealt with it. She also considered that it was pointless to waste time or effort chasing the Hoopaloo, especially if she was not being paid to do so.[1]
