Biography

Active during the Imperial Era, a bounty hunter was a member of the Haxion Brood crime syndicate. Sometime between 12 BBY and 11 BBY,[2] he was interrogated by members of the crew of the Stinger Mantis luxury yacht, the Nightsister Merrin and Jedi Knight Cal Kestis, who were looking for the location of one of the Brood's asteroid bases. After Merrin scared the hunter using magick, a manifestation of the Force as utilized by the Nightsisters, the bounty hunter offered up the base's location in the Outer Rim Territories as well as information on how the base functioned. After the crew members had acquired the information they desired, they stole several items from the hunter, including a pair of gription boots. Having been one of the greatest of the Mantis crew's salvages, Kestis believed that he had actually "rescued" the boots. One month after the bounty hunter's interrogation, Cal used the individual's boots to infiltrate the base which the crew requested information on. Kestis sarcastically believed that the hunter had been kind to give up the information of the base after Merrin used her magick as a fear tactic.[1]

Equipment

Before they were stolen by Cal Kestis, the hunter had access to gription boots.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Haxion Brood bounty hunter was mentioned in the 2023 novel Jedi: Battle Scars, which was written by Sam Maggs.[1]

  2. Jedi: Battle Scars dates itself to a few years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which take place in 14 BBY per Star Wars: Timelines. Therefore, the events of Jedi: Battle Scars must take place in 12 BBY at the earliest. Additionally, the novel dates itself within the years before Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the events of which take place in 9 BBY per the reasoning here. Within Jedi: Survivor, it is also noted the Stinger Mantis crew has been broken up for "years." As the crew are together in Jedi: Battle Scars, the latest it can take place is 11 BBY. Therefore, the events of Jedi: Battle Scars occur between 12 and 11 BBY.
