Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A galleon, according to legend, was a starship that participated in a competition to map a safe route to the planet Batuu and back during the early days of space travel. Captained by a human named Phillian the galleon was initially leading the search for Batuu. However the crew had begun to strip the derelict remains of starships that had previously failed to make the journey for their treasures and resources.

When the smaller Ravenstar caught up to the galleon, captain Phillian proposed a race for the final approach to Batuu. While initially faster, Phillian miscalculated the added weight for their salvaged treasure with their fuel consumption and the galleon became a drift. After winning the race the crew of the Ravenstar returned to render assistance.[1]
