A Death Star gunner was stationed aboard the first Death Star, where they manned the battle station's superlaser.[1] They participated in the destruction of Alderaan under orders from Grand Moff Tarkin, and later perished alongside over a million other Imperials when the station was destroyed by the Rebel Luke Skywalker. They hesitated while preparing to fire on the Rebel base, buying Skywalker additional time to exploit an engineered weakness within the station's design.
