A Colicoid female was the queen of a nest which included the Colicoid Jinnix and his drone-mate.[1] By 252 BBY,[2] the nest was attacked by hueches, and Jinnix's drone-mate failed to protect the queen. Afterward, the drone-mate listed off the reasons they could not protect the queen to Jinnix, who, seeing them as excuses, ripped off the drone-mate's head and ate their ganglia. Sometime later, Jinnix—by then a Storm in the Nihil marauder organization—recalled his drone-mate's failure to protect the queen when his Strike Towl made an excuse for not following an order.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Colicoid queen was mentioned in flashbacks in The High Republic: Tempest Runner, a 2021 audio drama written by Cavan Scott and published as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[3] Phase I.[4]

As Tempest Runner establishes that Dee joined the Nihil after the raid in the Abrion sector, the raid must have taken place by 252 BBY. The audio drama further states that the hueche attack occurred before the Abrion sector raid, therefore meaning it also took place by 252 BBY.
