- "The Academies on Populist worlds? They've become jokes. Poor imitations of what the Academies were like a generation ago, where the best and brightest trained to serve their leader. Now, on Centrist worlds, we're rebuilding the old programs of study. Reestablishing standards. About time, too."
- ―The Centrist senator
In 28 ABY,[2] a Centrist senator attended a minor gathering of individuals that were known to be enthusiastic collectors of items linked to the fallen Galactic Empire. Hosted by Senator Ransolm Casterfo of Riosa in celebration of his recent purchase of a helmet once belonging to a member of the Emperor's Royal Guard, during conversations they had with their fellow attendees, this individual spoke with nostalgia for the past regime, specifically noting the qualities an individual had been required to possess for admittance into the Imperial Academies, which they claimed had trained only the finest and most skilled in service to the Imperial Military. The senator further disagreed with the measure of the training courses crafted by the New Republic since then, claiming that the military institutions installed on worlds aligned with the Populists were poor imitations of those that had preceded them before the Empire's downfall and reported that the Imperial study programs were being reintegrated into the academies on Centrist worlds, claiming that it was about time such measures were taken.[1]
