Ultrachrome was a substance that could be used instead of cortosis to shape a suit of armor. It could also protect from radiation, similar to chromium.[1] During the Clone Wars, it was fashionable for Separatist nobles to obtain swords made of ultrachrome - these blades were highly resistant to lightsabers.[1]
