In 34 ABY,[3] a member of this species, Ubialla Gheal, attended a party aboard Baron Yasto Attsmun's yacht above the Sea of Cantonica near Canto Bight on the planet Cantonica.[2]

The species made their onscreen debut in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnson.[2] They were originally designed by concept designer Martin Rezard, with help from Heather McMullen and Neal Scanlan.[4]
