U5-GG, also known as Gigi, was a U5 astromech droid who served the Resistance. Gigi was assigned to the spy Vi Moradi. The two were captured in a starhopper by the First Order, and Moradi wiped U5-GG's memory before stormtroopers could access any data. The stormtroopers were subsequently ordered to haul off the droid for parts. Though the droid originally had its factory-standard paint job of white and blue, Moradi repainted it to brandish yellow and copper colors to mimic her own bleached hair and skin tone, respectively.[2]

U5-GG in LEGO form

U5-GG first appeared in the 2017 novel Phasma, penned by Delilah S. Dawson.[2] The droid was pictured in LEGO form in a 2020 LEGO set for the Resistance Intersystem Transport Ship. Despite the droid being described to have a yellow and copper paint job in Phasma,[2] the LEGO set depicts U5-GG in black and red colors.[3]
