Tyrus and the Mandalorians of the Hidden Chain

In 3626 BBY,[3] members of Clan Varad joined in on an attack on the Mandalorian ship the Spirit of Vengeance II alongside the Ash'ad and the Dar'manda at the behest of Heta Kol. Following this attack, after they had secured the banner of Clan Cadera, Brokenblade met with Heta Kol, Bask Sunn, and Durn Wynnward. An argument broke out between Brokenblade and Wynnward but was quickly stopped by Kol when she pulled out a thermal detonator and threw it at Brokenblade. Brokenblade managed to catch and keep it from exploding and was then stabbed twice by Kol as a demonstration of how they all relied on each other. Kol deactivated the thermal detonator, and Brokenblade was assisted by members of Clan Varad before being dismissed to fulfill the orders given to them.[1]

Tyrus was later present in the Hidden Chain meeting when Ri'kan Kateen reunited with the group and brought his sister, the rogue Jedi Padawan Sa'har Kateen, to Heta Kol.[4]

Following Hidden Chain's disastrous retreat from Ruhnuk, Tyrus attended a gathering of Kol's inner circle, where she revealed that Bask Sunn interfered with her duel with Shae Vizla, prompting her to expel Dar'manda from the Hidden Chain. Afterwards, she showed them Darth Nul's holocron and promised that its secrets would bring the Hidden Chain to glory, but the only ones who would know the whole plan would be just herself and Sa'har, before everyone, including Tyrus, applauded her.[5]

Tyrus later led a raid on Ord Mantell. Working with the Mantellian Separatist Movement, the Hidden Chain stole both the cooling rods for Kessan's Landing's geothermal plant and Force-sensitive civilians. Tyrus would later travel to Fort Ronnig after learning of the Alliance Commander interfering with his raid. Stepping out with his personal escort to confront both the Commander and Petra Nihrum, he proceeded to mock the absence of Mandalore the Avenger, implying that she had Clan Varad running the Eternal Alliance's errands for as long as she did.<[6]

Tyrus then attempted to sway the Commander to abandon Shae Vizla as an ally and side with the Hidden Chain instead but was rebuffed, before a fight broke out. During the fight, the Commander tricked Tyrus into attacking three separate explosive tanks to weaken his personal shield. Forced to change tactics, Tyrus feigned weakness, prompting Nihrum to advance towards him to finish him off, only for the Clan Varad leader to surprise her by stabbed her in the stomach. But before he could deliver the killing blow, out of nowhere, Sa'har interfered. Infuriated by her betrayal, Tyrus vowed that Kol would have her head. Though Sa'har was unthreatened, he taunted that her brother wouldn't protect her, provoking her into attacking as the Commander aided her. Despite his best efforts, Tyrus was left incapacitated. But as his foes were distracted with Sa'har explained Kol's plans, Tyrus reached for his holocomm to warn the Field Marshal of the Twi'lek's betrayal, for Sa'har to quick dismember her right hand. Tyrus then passed out from the pain.[6]

Behind the scenes

If the player is a Mandalorian Bounty Hunter, Tyrus will have special dialogue.[6]

Following the loss of his hand, the player can either choose to take Brokenblade prisoner, to either imprison, interrogate or use as leverage against Sa'har, or kill him for Dark Side points.[6]
