Petra Nihrum was a Force-sensitive Cathar female living on Ord Mantell along with her sister Mina.[2]

Biography

As a teenager, Petra and her sister Mina, faced a tragedy when their parents died in a speeder accident. Other family members stepped in to raise the sisters, and when their uncle found a new opportunity on Taris, the sisters followed the rest of their family to their new home.[3]

For a few years, life was calm until mercenaries targeted alien settlers on Taris, killing many, including their two uncles, grandfather, and several cousins. Left as refugees with nothing, the sisters fled to Ord Mantell, where a friend of Mina offered them a place to stay. Now living in the Kessan's Landing on Ord Mantell, a tough place with limited job opportunities and support, the sisters learned how to deal with their reality by clinging to each other.[3]

Around 3624 BBY,[4] Kessan's Landing was raided by Mandalorians of the Hidden Chain seeking to abduct civilians. Mina was among those who were captured and prepared to be shipped off-world. Petra went out seeking for her, but had to take a detour in order to stabilize the unstable power station where she met the Alliance Commander. Agreeing to work with them despite her reservations, Petra helped the Commander avert the immediate meltdown of the power plant, but their search for a more permanent solution was postponed by the news of the hostages.[5]

With the Commander's help, Petra was able to rescue her sister and the others and told them to head to safety while stuck by Commander's side. Together, they confronted the leader of the raid Tyrus Brokenblade, who managed to seriously injure Petra during the fighting. The Commander captured Tyrus with the help of Sa'har Kateen, but Petra quietly slipped away to check on her sister.[2]
