The Tyria system was located in the Hevvrol sector,[1] a part of the Trailing Sectors portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It was the origin point of[4] the pieces of technology known as Tyrian hydraulic struts[5] as well as the fabrics known as Tyrian violet cloth[6] and Tyrian shimmersilk.[7]
Behind the scenes
The Tyria system was first indirectly mentioned in the 1999 reference book Star Wars: Episode I Incredible Cross-Sections by David West Reynolds.[8] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry first identified the system and placed it in grid square P-15.[3]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Tyrian hydraulic struts, Tyrian violet cloth, and Tyrian shimmersilk in relation to the Tyria system.
