- "The Empire does not answer to you citizen. You answer to the Empire. The Empire is not obligated to tell you that it lost a facility to the Sand People and that no one has reported it to Prefect Talmont yet for fear of being reprimanded. Yes, you are not privy to that type of information."

The Tusken Bunker was the name given to an Imperial bunker on Tatooine after it was invaded by the Tusken Raiders during the Galactic Civil War.
Description
The bunker was located on the planet Tatooine, in the rocky desert between Mos Espa and Bestine. It consisted of a one-storied building above the ground with a small watchtower on top and two underground levels. Next to the bunker stood large machines, presumably power generators. The area was surrounded by a fortified wall.[1]
History
- "If you're loyal to the Empire, I have need of your services. The Empire needs you to venture forward and kill as many Sandpeople as you can, specifically in a known region where they have taken control of a key facility. Will you do this for your Emperor?"

At some point of time prior to[2] 1 ABY,[3] Sandpeople under the lead of a Tusken King attacked the bunker, killing many Imperials, and took control of the complex. The Tuskens installed a large skeletonized krayt dragon head in the main room where the king resided. Various skeletons of the slain Imperials could still be found in the bunker.[2]
In 1 ABY,[3] an Imperial colonel in Bestine tasked citizens with re-securing the facility, albeit in a manner that avoided directly stating that they had lost it in the first place. The colonel also indicated that they had not actually reported their losing the bunker to the Tusken Raiders to Prefect Eugene Talmont out of fear of being reprimanded by him.[2]
During that time, a Zabrak individual named Errik Darksider sold the coordinates of the bunker to a spacer traveling through Mos Eisley.[4]

- ↑ 3.0 3.1 The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
