A turbolaser pulsor was a type of turbolaser mounted on the MAS-2xB turbolaser platform.
Characteristics
The turbolaser pulsor used an amplification dish around the turbolaser actuator to focus its energy beam, which had a maximum range of thirty kilometers, and an optimal range of ten kilometers. The beam was capable of penetrating durasteel armor that was twenty meters thick, and its energy output was equivalent to that of Star Destroyer turbolaser. The power demands meant that the weapon could only fire once a minute, and required four rows of cooling chambers with meter-long cryogenic cylinders wrapping around the power core, energy capacitors, and pulsor itself to keep the system cooled and prevent meltdowns during combat.[1]
