Tundan robes were a style of robes commonly worn by the Sorcerers of Tund, an offshoot sect of Sith sorcerers descended from heretical Kissai outcasts[1] and Sith-Human hybrid refugees who fled to Tund during the post–Great Hyperspace War counterinvasion.[5] These heavy robes ranged from dark red[3][4] to deep gray[2] in color and notably concealed the wearer's entire body and face[3][4] in a series of wraps and a headdress-like cowl.[2]
Karnak Tetsu, the leader of the Sorcerers of Tund during the Dark Wars[1] and a Force user known as "the Maleficent,"[6] was one individual known to have worn Tundan robes in conjunction with his Sith amulet.[1] The last Sorcerer of Tund, a Croke infiltrator by the name of Rokur Gepta, similarly sported his own set of Tundan robes prior to his destruction of the planet in 5 BBY.[5]
Behind the scenes
Though the distinctive robes of the Sorcerers of Tund have been offhandedly mentioned in a number of sourcebooks and reference books, they were first given the explicit name "Tundan robes" in Web Enhancement 5 of the Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide.
