A group of exiled heretics belonging to the Kissai, the priest caste of the Sith species,[3][4] settled the verdant[1] Force nexus of Tund in the years following[2] the 27,700 BBY Rakatan invasion of Korriban.[5]
These outcasts were banished from the Sith homeworld of Korriban[6] for interpreting the death of Sith King Adas during the invasion[3][4] as a sign from the Force to reject the dark side and embrace "the Unity", the idea that all sentient life is Force-sensitive and that no true opposites exist.[2] Fleeing Sith space aboard a commandeered Rakatan ship equipped with a Force-powered hyperdrive,[1] these Kissai[2] followed the Force[1] to the world of Tund[2] in the Centrality sector.[1]
The descendants of these heretics were eventually joined on Tund by a number of Sith-Human half-breed colonists from the Sith Worlds in the centuries following the founding of the Sith Empire in 6900 BBY. The Galactic Republic ignored Tund during the Post–Great Hyperspace War counterinvasion of the Sith Empire and Tund's population eventually gave rise to the Sorcerers of Tund during the post-Manderon period.[1]
