Trundle-freighter ships were used by a pirate organization, Sélima Kim, to survey activities in its vicinity and to discreetly carry starships.

Characteristics

Those ships were modified Super Transport XI. Their holds were arranged to accommodate one or more vessels. Their hull were also entirely covered with natural rock to imitate asteroids.

Trundle-freighter ships were equipped with repair workshop and hyperdrive, and used to evacuate damaged starship to their base if those can't travel themselves.

Behind the scenes

The original, French name used in Casus Belli 60 is "cargos-gigognes" or "vaisseaux-ateliers-gigognes". One of them was illustrated by Fred Blanchard.
