A transpirator was an apparatus used for protection against atmosphere with levels of toxicity by the Galactic Empire. Governor Wilhuff Tarkin was advised to wear one such equipment in[1] 14 BBY[2] during a visit to the ravaged Outer Rim planet of Murkhana.[1]
