A gang of three Trandoshan bounty hunters in matching uniforms were in operation shortly after the fall of the Galactic Empire. The gang ambushed the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin on the planet Arvala-7 in an attempt to kill Grogu which the Mandalorian was carrying with him. However, the three Trandoshans were quickly defeated by their opponent who escaped with Grogu.

The Trandoshans fight the bounty hunter Din Djarin

Around 9 ABY,[2] the Trandoshans traveled to Arvala-7 to attempt to capture "Grogu,"[1] upon which "The Client" had placed a bounty.[3] The Trandoshans used a tracking fob to track the child and discovered it in the possession the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin. The gang attempted to ambush the Mandalorian with slaver blades, but he defeated them after a brief skirmish. One of the Trandoshans charged toward Grogu and tried to kill it, but The Mandalorian shot and disintegrated him, after which he discovered the dead bounty hunter's tracking fob.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Trandoshan bounty hunter gang were first teased in the second official trailer for the Jon Favreau's television show Star Wars: The Mandalorian.[4] The gang first appeared in "Chapter 2: The Child," the second episode of the show, which was directed by Rick Famuyiwa[1] and aired on November 15 2019.[5]
