The toothspike raptor was a creature native to the planet Colla IV. The bell-shaped hull of the Droch-class boarding ships used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems produced by the Colicoid Creation Nest were loosely based on toothspike raptors.[1]

Behind the scenes

Toothspike raptors were first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1] Toothspike raptors were originally created for the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were first mentioned in the 2008 reference book Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Visual Guide, written by Jason Fry and Heather Scott.[2]
