"Hmm? Oh, it's probably nothing. I'm sure he was just careless. In any case, we must find Tomi Jinsin. Unfortunately, I do not have any record of where he might live. But I suspect there must be some connection with these Ragtags. Maybe if you put some pressure on those thugs, they'll reveal what they know about Tomi."
Ral Mundi, to a spacer[2]

Tomi Jinsin was a Human male thug who lived on Corellia during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

"You'll find Ragtags outside of most Corellia cities and Coronet is no exception. They're usually loitering around on the outskirts of the city. If you find anything about Tomi or my missing shipment, please follow it through."
―Ral Mundi, to a spacer[2]

By the time following the Battle of Yavin, Tomi Jinsin was a thug, member of the Ragtag gang. At some point, he also got an official job in Ral Mundi's Starship Emporium, a shipwright company in Coronet City.[2] In 1 ABY,[1] Jinsin used his position to allow the Ragtags to steal a large shipment of starship components. The robbery put the company on the verge of bankrupt, forcing Ral Mundi to requested intervention of the Corellian Security Force. CorSec Lieutenant Mack Jasper sent a spacer who finally discovered the truth about the missing shipment. Tomi Jinsin went into hiding in a bunker near Coronet but the spacer tracked him down there. Jinsin was killed while trying to resist to the spacer. From information found in Tomi Jinsin's datapad, the spacer was able to retrieve the missing shipment in the Coronet Capitol, along with a crate of illegal spice.[2] Further investigation of the CorSec about the shipment robbery and the smuggled spice would led to the discovery of a plot of the Rogue CorSec to overthrow the Diktat Daclif Gallamby himself.[3]

Notes and references

  1. 1.0 1.1 The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
