Tom Fitzgerald was an employee at Walt Disney Imagineering. He joined Walt Disney Imagineering in 1979, and has supervised story development and production of many of Disney's most popular park attractions and shows. In 1989 he was made executive producer of Theme Park Productions, which provides conceptual development, production, and post production of all film and video presentations for Disney parks. In 2001 he was given the added responsibility of executive vice president and senior creative executive for Walt Disney Imagineering, being responsible for the creative direction of the Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Paris.[1]
For Star Wars, Tom Fitzgerald worked closely with creator George Lucas on the original Star Tours attraction and was the voice of G2-9T.[2] He worked since that time with Lucas and the talented teams at Imagineering and Lucasfilm to create the new 3-D, multi-sensory attraction Star Tours: The Adventures Continue in 2011, while also having posted outlines throughout the year with his posts on the Disney Parks Blog.[3] Fitzgerald also produced the Disneyland Paris attraction CinéMagique, directed by Jerry Rees, which referenced Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
