- "I'm sorry. Forfive was just dragging me to an emergency comm, so I'll definitely get back to you. Forfive, can you find a minute or two for the RDC allocation this afternoon or, even better, tomorrow…"
- ―Elzar Mann, to the second aide
An individual with four round purple eyes served as the second aide of Tia Toon,[1] a Sullustan[2] senator in the Galactic Republic Senate during the High Republic Era.[1] In 228 BBY,[3] the aide was in a hallway of the Senate building on[1] the Core Worlds[2] planet Coruscant and saw Jedi Master Elzar Mann being informed by a secretary of Republic Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh that his meeting with Soh had been canceled.[1]
The aide's eyes brightened as they realized that Mann now had the time to discuss the allocation of Jedi on the border of the Nihil pirates' Stormwall hyperspace barrier. The Jedi Master, however, made an excuse to avoid the discussion and informed the aide that he would get back to them. Mann then asked his droid JJ-5145 to fit in a better time for the discussion and left after the aide gaped. Shortly after, as Mann meditated within a Senate building storage closet, he mentally recalled his interaction with the aide.[1]
Behind the scenes
Tia Toon's second aide was mentioned in the 2024 novel The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[4]
