The thunderhead hawk was a type of hawk native to the planet Makeb. A ground-based creature known as the vrake, also native to Makeb, featured a head crest that greatly resembled the head of a thunderhead hawk, and vrakes used the crest to startle their prey—typically small rodents and birds—before pouncing on them.[1]
