The vrake was a species native to Makeb. The vrake came very near to extinction until an enterprising scientist named Kaylah Taprish took a liking to the creatures. After five years of study and crossbreeding, Taprish released a dozen colonies of the vrake into the wild. Due to increased numbers, the vrake became more aggressively territorial.[1]
