The Thugs of Thule was a group of highly educated mercenaries that had become infamous[1] by 22 BBY.[3] Prior to the Clone Wars which began that year,[3] one of the group's members, the Human Anj Rujj, frequently visited the Outlander Club,[2] a nightclub and gambling hall[4] in the Uscru Entertainment District of the planet Coruscant.[5] During a night[6] in 22 BBY, Rujj was present in the Outlander Club at the same time the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker also visited the establishment.[3] The Thugs of Thule organization's name was shared with[1] the planet Thule[7] which was located in the Thurra system within the Outer Rim Territories.[8]
Behind the scenes
The Thugs of Thule were created for the 2003 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which was written by Simon Beecroft and Curtis Saxton.[1] The Outlander Club content in the book, which includes Anj Rujj as an active member of the Thugs of Thule, was illustrated by Hans Jenssen.[9]

As The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, Vol. III, p. 114 ("Rujj, Anj") establishes Rujj frequented the Outlander Club before the Clone Wars began, he thus had to have frequented the location by 22 BBY.
