A thermic baster was a type of cooking tool.[1] The device had an opening in the top portion of the front face of its cream-colored body with two silver colored utensils inside. There were two square red lights located below the opening on the front face.[2] There was a thermic baster mounted on the wall above a counter in the kitchen of the enslaved human Shmi Skywalker in the home where she and her son, Anakin Skywalker, lived on Slave Quarters Row in the city of Mos Espa on the planet Tatooine when the Skywalkers hosted a group of offworlders during a sandstorm[1] in 32 BBY.[3]

Behind the scenes

A thermic baster appeared in the 1999 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.[2] It was identified in the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, which was written by Kristin Lund.[1]
