The Whirl was an Inner Rim astronomical object[1] that shared its name with the mercenary army Whirl-Point-Six.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Whirl was introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square K-8.[1]
