"The Obvious Scapegoat" is a short story appearing in the June 1996 Shadows of the Empire Sourcebook, written by Peter M. Schweighofer for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The story immediately precedes a scene in the accompanying Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire novel, written by Steve Perry, in which Black Sun Underlord Xizor kills one of his Vigo subordinates, Green, for betrayal.
