The Empire Strikes Back Weekly was the second iteration of Marvel UK’s Star Wars comic, following on from – and continuing the numbering of – Star Wars Weekly.
The weekly title initially reprinted Marvel Comics' official adaptation of The Empire Strikes Back, albeit with the American-published episodes spread across a greater number of issues, and in black and white. The rest of each issue was filled with other space-adventure strips previously published by Marvel in America.
After just 22 issues, from issue #140, the publication shifted to a monthly schedule, inevitably dropping “Weekly” from its title.
