The Art was a several-thousand-year-old cultural tradition among the Alvadorjians of Ylagia upon which unique paints could be created. Colors were weaved on the Lesser Wheel by combining oil, minerals, and bioluminescent microbes, and then by whirling, pressing, and purifying them.[1]

The Art was mentioned in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[1]
