Bioluminescent bacteria were a type of light-emitting bacteria that formed colonies. They could be found in the Seikara Caverns on the Outer Rim planet Dekien. Two decades after the Imperial unification, the former Sith known as the Ronin noticed the bacteria in stalagtites and phytokarst crevices formed by previous generations of lichen in the Seikara Caverns while searching the caves for a shard of the kyber mirror of Shinsui Temple.[1]
