The Thand sector was located in the Expansion Region. By 0 ABY, it bordered the Montitian Grant sector Rimward, the Extorin and Great Agash sectors spinward, and the Trailing Grant sector in the trailing direction. Together with the Great Agash and Trailing Grant sectors, the Thand sector formed the Expansion Region's Coreward border with the Inner Rim.[1]
The Thand sector contained the Thandruss system,[2] which in turn was the site of the terrestrial planet of the same name. Thandruss was the homeworld of the sentient Krytollak species.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Thand sector was introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.[2] In 2012, the StarWars.com Essential Atlas Extra: Expansion Region provided a visual depiction of the sector and placed it in grid squares J-14 and J-15.[1]
