The Thaereian High Command was the high command of the Thaereian military
History
The Thaereian High Command was the high command of the Thaereian military, the armed forces of the Thaereian system. During the Clone Wars, the Trandoshan Major Xirossk of Thaereian Intelligence was posted by the Thaereian High Command to the space station Burnout. The Thaereians secretly operated an arena on the space station in which prisoners were fed to dangerous creatures and Xirossk had orders from the Thaereian High Command to maintain the status quo in regard to the Thaereians' operations on Burnout.[1]
After the Thaereian officer Lorwin Derlynn resigned from the Thaereian military at the behest of the heroes of Cularin freelance agents, the Thaereian High Command denounced as an "enemy of the state" one of the freelances specifically named in Derlynn's resignation statement. The Thaereian High Command also ruled the individual to be guilty of high crimes against the Thaereian Protectorate and wanted posters depicting the freelance agent were posted in the spaceport Hedrett Groundport on the planet Cularin.[2]
Around this time, while passing through the Cularin asteroid belt, several of the crew of the Thaereian customs cruiser Stark Wing were possessed by shadow lurkers, the incorporeal spirits of the Oblee species. Believing the ship to be under attack, the crew attacked each other, and the vessel's commander Captain Jans Tolen transferred data on the encounter to the Thaereian High Command before taking his own life.[3]
Behind the scenes
In the Living Force roleplaying module Incursion it is possible for the player characters, who roleplay as the heroes of Cularin, to persuade Lorwin Derlynn to defect from the Thaereian military. If this occurs, any players involved significantly in his desertion are denounced by the Thaereian High Command as traitors.[2]
