The human Terr Taneel, who was senator for the Senex sector in the Senate of the Galactic Republic, was a member of an aristocratic house that was waning in power during the Clone Wars.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Terr Taneel, and therefore her house, first appeared in the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith[2] which released on May 19, 2005.[3] The aristocratic house was then explicitly mentioned in the 2023 reference book Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo and Emily Shkoukani.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Terr Taneel appeared prior to the release of Episode III in James Luceno's novel Labyrinth of Evil,[4] which was released on January 25, 2005.[5] The house was then identified as House Taneel in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[6]
