Usage
This template is for redirecting readers from a Wookieepedia link to another wiki. For example, Gallery of TV Guide covers is a soft redirect to w:c:swmerchandise:TV Guide. Per community consensus, however, softredirects should not be created to point to Star Wars Fanpedia.
Normal or "hard" redirects would be undesirable in these circumstances because they could not be undone without handcrafting the correct URL (because there would be no "Redirected from [foo]" message on the page when you get to the destination, so there would be nothing to click on to take you back to the redirect page, and clicking on a link to the redirect page would take you straight to the redirect's target). There would also be infinite-loop security considerations. Therefore hard interwiki redirects have been disabled, and this soft redirect template asks the user to confirm if they wish to proceed to another site.
Please continue to use

for all internal redirects except for categories. Category redirects should use this template as hard redirects do not forward category members to the target category (see MediaWiki task T5311).
