The Technical division, also called the tech service department,[1] of the Jedi Order was an organization of Jedi technicians that operated prior to, and during the Clone Wars. J'oopi Shé was a prominent member of the division, and was known to assist the Republic Group during the final days of the Republic.
Operating out of the Jedi Temple, the division was responsible for maintaining and repairing all craft in the Temple. The Jedi involved were in charge of directing the Temple technicians; the non-Jedi employees at the Temple.
After the execution of Order 66, the division was dissolved and all its members were executed, or went into hiding, as is the case with Kazdan Paratus, who secluded himself on the ruined planet of Raxus Prime. When Luke Skywalker rebuilt the Order, the division was reformed within the new Jedi Temple.
