Tau squadron was a squadron of TIE pilots serving the Galactic Empire's navy[1] in 3 ABY.[2] The unit served in the orbit of the moon Toshara.[1]

During a mission to smuggle goods for Crimson Dawn, Kay Vess encountered and fought the squad. While fighting Vess, Tau squadron was shot down.[1]

Behind the scenes

Tau squadron was first seen in the video game Star Wars Outlaws by Ubisoft in August 2024. The unit could have also survived the encounter with Vess or may never have encountered her.[1]
