Tann Gella was a Twi'lek female from the planet Ryloth. Tann and her twin sister, Ann, were trained as yobanas and sold to Podracer Sebulba from crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure.
Biography
Tann Gella was a Twi'lek female, who, along with her twin-sister Ann, was native to the planet Ryloth.[1] Ann and Tann were trained as yobanas, a Twi'leki word that loosely translated to masseuse. Due to their training,[3] The Dug Podracer Sebulba purchased the expensively priced pair[2] from[4] the Hutt crime lord[5] Jabba Desilijic Tiure to be enslaved masseuses. The Dug did this partly to put him into the best form for Podraces[2] —as the Twi'lek's gave ritual prerace massages to him—[6] though mostly did it to irritate other Podracers and get them jealous. His tactic was resoundingly effective.[2] In 32 BBY,[7] Tann and her Twin gave a massage to Sebulba in his chair before the Boonta Eve Classic on the planet Tatooine.[8]
