Tangoo melon

The capitalization in this article's title is conjectural. Although this article's title is canonical, its actual capitalization is pure conjecture.

A tangoo melon was a type of melon that could be crushed.^[1] Around 1 ABY,^[2] the smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca were hired by the Alliance to Restore the Republic to smuggle the Hutt criminal^[1] Grakkus Jahibakti Tingi^[3] to^[1] the Outer Rim planet^[4] Akiva to be imprisoned there. During the journey to Akiva aboard the smuggler's frieghter Millennium Falcon, Grakkus knocked Solo over and began to choke him. As Chewbacca approached the Hutt with his bowcaster, Grakkus threatened to crush Solo's head like a tangoo melon if the Wookiee came any closer. Ultimately, the incident ended with Solo escaping the Hutt by having Grakkus electrocuted, and afterward the two smugglers set out to take him to Akiva.^[1]

A tangoo melon was mentioned in the thirty-fifth issue of the 2015 comic series Star Wars. The issue was written by Jason Aaron and published by Marvel Comics^[1] on August 30, 2017.^[5]
