Talus Ironworks was an arms manufacturer based in the Corellia system that manufactured the XL-2 "Flashfire" blaster pistol and the ASP-9 "Vrelt" autopistol. The XL-2 was accidentally created by Talus Ironworks engineers when they performed a test fire using a prototype with a faulty focusing aperture. The fault produced a bright flash of the light when the weapon fired. Through continued study, the Talus Ironworks engineers eventually perfected the XL-2. Talus Ironworks shared its name with Talus,[1] a planet[2] of the Corellia system.[1]
Behind the scenes
Talus Ironworks was first mentioned in the[1] 2019[3] canon Fantasy Flight Games roleplaying game sourcebook Gadgets and Gear.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Talus Ironworks was first mentioned in Suns of Fortune,[4] a 2014[5] Fantasy Flight Games sourcebook.[4]
