Location

Where did the idea come from that the Valley is above Olmondo?A knight shall come 05:07, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

  • It's from one of the Dark Forces books. Kuralyov 05:21, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
    • I just re-read the section where Olmondo is revealed, the Valley is never mentioned as being above Olmondo (its all sand dunes anyway, the Valley is carved from rock). While he stays the night at the city, Morgan gets directions to the Valley and goes there the next day; it only took from dawn to dusk to get to Olmondo, but "days" to get back from the Valley.A knight shall come 15:16, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

The empowering qualities of the Valley

Is there anything official on how the Valley is able to permanently empower those in its precense? Or what the powerbeam Kyle stepped into in JK:JO was?DarthMRN

All there is that is official is that the beam of power, and probably what Kyle stepped into, is a force nexus, wherein large amounts of force power flow freely into the world. Coupled with the fact that an entire battlefield's worth of powerful Jedi and Sith masters' power and souls are trapped there, it was able to give those who used it incredible power. However, it should be noted that when Jerec used it, it was to give him incomprehensible power. It was direclty quoted that he could cause the supernova of a star with a "fleeting thought". Katarn was able to prevent this and defeat him without him gaining such power. However, when Kyle Katarn and Desann embraced the power of the Valley, they did not achieve such power as Jerec could have. This could be because they did not wish to use all of the power for themselves, or they did not know how to fully unlock it's power.

Removed Jedi Academy Text

Removed the following text:

"After Desann's defeat, his apprentice, Tavion Axmis, used the Scepter of Ragnos to siphon Force energy from the Valley, which was used to empower her followers, the Disciples of Ragnos and later was used in an attempt to ressurect the ancient Sith Lord Marka Ragnos. With the Scepter's destruction at the hands of Katarn's apprentice Jaden Korr, the energy likely returned to the Valley."

As far as I know, it was never confirmed that Tavion siphoned the nexus on Ruusan. Kyle was sent to check it out, but we never got the final report. Yes, I know that Luke stated that "every location in my journal" was hit, but seeing as we don't know the exact content of said journal, it's hard to say of the Valley was attacked or not.

If restoring the text fits with Wookieepedia's policies, or a source can be given, please revert it, but for now it has been removed. Din's Fire 997 01:56, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Number of Jedi

The article currently says: "Hoth perceived Kaan's strategy and left most of his army behind, taking only ninety-nine Jedi with him.". Is that from Path of Destruction? How should it be reconciled with the sentence "Jerec wants to unlock the Force energy of thousands of past Jedi Knights held in a hidden Jedi burial ground." in Dark Forces II's manual? --68.44.253.17 20:17, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Valorum's Memorial

In Darth Bane: Rule of Two it speaks of how Tarsus Valorum petitioned the Senate for a monument to the Jedi who fell on Ruusan. Is this the Valley of the Jedi? It's a memorial to Jedi who died on Ruusan, but later in the book I think it might be talking about something else. Can anyone clarify? —Darth MalevolousSith Emblem(Through power I gain victory.) 23:01, October 1, 2009 (UTC)
