I guess with the list of new characters in this article, this is as good a place as any to ask this. Does anyone know the name of the red-headed Jedi that recurs several times? He's with Charny when Farfalla and later Githany appear, and he's also the one who helps Petja take down the Bouncers. I can't seem to find a name in the comic, and I'm not sure if he was named. - Lord Hydronium 11:47, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- He's actually the artist, self inserting himself. QuentinGeorge 21:21, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
- At the sixth battle of Ruusan, Darovit fights what he thinks is a dark lord (the Dark Lord looks like a member of the Bando Gora), defeats him, and Rajan says that the lightsaber bleonged to Zor Vlahu, well, does anyone know the identity of that Sith? Or can anyone get a picture? Telos 04:40, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Continuity
Current article says: "Unlike later depictions of the New Sith Wars, Jedi vs. Sith depicts a renaissance aesthetic (for example, antiquated swords and arrows are seen alongside lightsabers and blasters), similar to the ancient aesthetic of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. Much of this would later be retconned by the Darth Bane Trilogy of novels, which adapt part of the story of the comic books."
Besides the dubious use of the word retcon - a better word would be "contradicted", since it does not have the goal of "making stuff fit" - I don't think it's really true. The Bane novels don't lean hard into the Renaisance-era warfare, but they don't go out of their way to contradict it, either. The military hardware simply does not get much detailed description, possibly representing Bane's personal disdain for it all. Certainly there's not enough to call it a contradiction or retcon without confirmation by some other source. I removed that bit. False Dmitri (talk) 20:51, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
- Makes sense. While the events of Bane and the other main characters are different, I can only think of one example of the armies having explicitly different gear, that being the Jedi who killed Zannah’s bouncer friend used bows in the comic which is retconned to be blasters in the novel.SaintSirNicholas (talk) 11:46, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
