Does the information contained within Star Wars: Force and Destiny qualify as canon? Because, if I remember correctly, everything released from (whenever it was they decided) onward was canon, which is interesting, because Force and Destiny contains several references to KOTOR and SWTOR.

Definitive answer on how to edit pages
I looked, I saw the discussion on Nexus' page but I didn't see a definitive or as close to a definitive answer on this question. Basically as I understand it, or I guess what I think should be done, is essentially edit pages as the book lays them out. Things that have never appeared in Canon like Auratera can just go in Legends by default, while Aleen and Ilum should be Canon. But, also their Legends pages should be updated. Ossus and Tython are mentioned in Canon and Legends sources. The edits to Ossus and Tython Canon pages that I suggest are the presentation that these stories are IU myths. The Legends articles will present them as truth. If you read the modular adventures they use this practice too; if you want to use Legends stories you can use a Krath warrior for example, if you want to stay in Canon you can say she is inspired by legends and myths. I think that would be the best way to address the material. It still exists seemingly in canon, but isn't set in stone, just a presentation of a possible story.
I don't think it is necessary to create location pages in canon for somethings either. For example, Vur Tepe and Kaleth are only referenced in Legends, and don't need to be created as Canon myths. But Ossus and the Qel-Droma Epics are a Canon thing in my interpretation. Further, the Infinite Empire comes up in the Aleen description. Leaving that out of the Canon article and including it in the Legends article seems like the best way to handle it because it is presented as a theory and not a fact. ie a Legend and not history.
Thoughts? Purpilia (talk) 07:08, December 21, 2016 (UTC)
- We do have the fact that the Story Group has said they will take elements from Legends and use in Canon, which they have done many times now. They have explicitly said that unless said otherwise, all new publications after the Disney takeover would be Canon. Why are some portions in this Canon book not treated as canon? Please someone explain because it doesn't jive with what the Story Group has had to say. Red Heathen (talk) 00:50, September 10, 2020 (UTC)
- The story group have not been really all that helpful in this, so some users came up with our own policy on it which you can see here. Specific policy on these Force and Destiny books can be found in this section here. Hope this helps! --Lewisr (talk) 00:54, September 10, 2020 (UTC)
- This is helpful, and thank you! I thought that unless Disney or the Story Group specifically stated that something wasn't Canon, then it was Canon. However, I understand this is internal policy, and it seems complicated. I'm sure it helps to keep everything better organized on here. I'm curious why they haven't been more forthcoming with whether or not certain elements within a publication/merchandise are Canon or not. Either way, what I'm saying is rhetorical. It's only my curiosity and desire to learn, and I appreciate you helping me. Red Heathen (talk) 03:00, September 26, 2020 (UTC)
