Legends

Wouldn't this be Legends-only name from Nexus of Power? --Goodmind (talk) 05:44, September 10, 2020 (UTC)

  • The policy establishes this as "BOTH" so it falls under both continuities in our system.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 05:47, September 10, 2020 (UTC)

Merge with the canon Great Hyperspace War article?

As we now have a canon Great Hyperspace War article, what's going to happen with this one? Considering the links, we have both this one and the canon GHW articles linking to the legends GHW article. Should both be merged, or kept separate? -Anselmo499 (talk) 19:01, September 10, 2020 (UTC)

  • There is no canon connection between the Great Hyperspace War and this Sith war, thus they must be kept separate, regardless of linking.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 02:46, September 11, 2020 (UTC)

Merge with Great Sith Wars

Maybe i'm veering into speculation, but I think we can assume the Great Sith Wars and Sith war (Old Republic) cover the same event if they occur at the same time in galactic history. Any comment? Editoronthewiki (talk) 21:13, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

  • Nope, ignore me, i'm stupid, this war ends to early. maybe its a part of the "wars" but not same overall, oops Editoronthewiki (talk) 21:15, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

Notability

I'm pretty sure no source calls it a war. For all we know, the Jedi retaking Coruscant could have just been a lone strike. If no one comes foreward with a source that describes this as a war or some overarching conflict besides just the aformentioned Battle of Coruscant (Sith war), I will TC it. • Nevermind, this is just the Jedi-Sith War. Both Nexus of Power and Star Wars: Timelines states that the Jedi Temple was constructed c. 1000 BBY, invalidating the 5000 BBY placement. Nexus of Power talks about how the war occurred after the Era of the Sith, so the is pretty much just the Jedi-Sith War. "For a time before the rise of the Galactic Republic, the dreaded Sith dominated the galaxy. During this time, the Sith built a shrine complex atop a mountain on Coruscant as a sign of their great power. The shrine stood black and menacing against Coruscant’s sky, an implied threat to anyone who would stand against the Sith dominion, until the Jedi laid siege to it and burned it to its foundations. With the Sith routed from Coruscant and their corrupt shrine little more than a smoking crater, the Jedi Order decided that they would stamp out the memory of the Sith’s legacy on Coruscant. Over the foundations of the ruined Sith shrine, the Jedi laid the foundations of their own grand temple in an attempt to bury the Sith, symbolically at least, once and for all." (Nexus of Power), this is pretty clearly describing the Jedi-Sith War, which occurred when the Sith had dominance over the galaxy. ThrawnChiss7 Mitth symbol Assembly Cupola 22:09, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
