Captains leaders of the entire Commandos?

I see that both of the known captains in the commandos are being listed as leaders of the entire branch. How do we know this to be true, and that they are not merely both captains within the branch of the commandos, such as in command of individual units, with other higher ranking officers above them? --OuroborosCobra 19:28, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

  • They're the highest ranking members known, so they would be leaders. Also, we don't need; later Captain Jayfon. In Separatist Droid Army you don't see; later General Grievous. Hntr.peters 13:49, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
    • General Grievous is stated many times to be the commander of the Separatist droid army. These captains are not stated to be the leaders or highest ranking of the Senate Commandos. It seems completely speculative, and original research, to state that they are. All we know is that they are captains, we know nothing of the Commando authority structure. --OuroborosCobra 06:24, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
      • Is there a source that states that Jayfon replaced and/ or served after Argyus? Hntr.peters 21:56, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Source from: Star Wars the Clone Wars Season 1 Episode 22-Hostage Crisis I don't know for sure, but it appears there are higher ranks than just a captain. For instance, if you look closely you'll see that Captain Jayfon leads a team of five Senate Commandos. Not to long later when the Senate Commandos change shifts you'll see that there is a team of ,once again, six Senate Commandos (this includes a captain). It is assumed there is a captain leading this squad. If you ask me captains lead squads of five Senate Commandos. The only exception is Captain Argyus. The only problem is not much is known about Senate Commando ranks.--76.189.27.153 16:14, July 31, 2010 (UTC)jhonnyjazzhands

Serious question

Why would Republic Commandos and Senate Commandos have a rivalry? Their job titles are nothing alike. One's an elite black ops unit that operates in fours, and the other is a elite Praetorian Guard-style combat unit that operates in large squads.
